African superstars Tyla, Wizkid, and Asake have been announced as headliners for the 2026 Afro Nation music festival, set to take place along the beautiful coastline of The Algarve, Portugal. They’ll be joined by an impressive lineup that includes Olamide, Bien, Young Jonn, Darkoo, Awilo Longomba, Madumane, Focalistic, Daliwonga, DenDen, Djodje, Mellow & Sleazy, Zee Nxumalo, Mariah the Scientist, Amaroto, Lee McKrazy, Niska, and a special guest appearance by Gunna.
Following the release of Gunna’s latest album, The last Wun, which features Nigerian heavyweights Burna Boy and Wizkid, fans can look forward to a potential on-stage collaboration that’s sure to be one of the festival’s standout moments.
Known for its electrifying performances and unforgettable pop culture moments, this year’s Afro Nation promises to be one for the books. Festivalgoers can look forward to an exciting blend of sounds — from Afrobeats and Amapiano to hip-hop, pop, R&B, and beyond. This edition will once again serve as a vibrant combination of different global sounds and cultures. Adding to the thrill is a brand-new feature: the Afrotonic Stage, where electronic music takes the spotlight as top DJs and artists deliver high-energy sets that will keep the crowd on its feet.
Since its launch in 2019, the popular music festival founded by Obi Asika and Smade has hosted some of Africa’s biggest stars, including Tems, DBN Gogo, and Burna Boy, alongside top international acts. This year’s edition will run from July 3rd to 5th. Get your tickets here.
