After preliminary leaks, Epic Games has officially unveiled the trailer for its collaboration with The Weeknd for the Fortnite Festival event. The Weeknd marks the inaugural artist for this novel music-centric experience embedded in the game, and his-themed features will seamlessly integrate with the array of new items, weapons, vehicles, and more introduced in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.
In an innovative partnership with the Rock Band developer studio Harmonix, Fortnite is set to introduce a game mode where players synchronize their actions with musical notes while witnessing an artist perform onscreen. Players can choose to form a band with their friends or take the solo spotlight.
Leaks have hinted at a diverse set of offerings in The Weeknd x Fortnite Festival, including a distinctive microphone design, two new bass designs, three exclusive songs, a keytar design, the "Boombox" Aura, a loading screen, and The Weeknd skin, all accessible through a paid Festival Pass.
