"Hurry Up Tomorrow" Release and Performance Delayed
The Weeknd has announced the postponement of his album release and the cancellation of his upcoming Rose Bowl concert due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles County.
In a statement shared on Instagram, The Weeknd expressed his concern for the affected communities: “Out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles County, I am canceling the Rose Bowl concert originally scheduled for January 25th. This city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time.”
He also announced a delay in the release of his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, pushing it back to January 31st. “In light of this, I have also decided to push the release of my album to January 31st. My focus remains on supporting the recovery of these communities and aiding its incredible people as they rebuild,” he explained.
Ticket holders who purchased their tickets through Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds. Those who purchased tickets from third-party resellers are advised to contact their point of purchase for refund information.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the final album in The Weeknd’s recent trilogy, following After Hours and Dawn FM. The project also includes a feature film starring Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan, and The Weeknd himself.
