Rapper Snoop Dogg has officially announced a special show at the Hollywood Bowl this summer, titled Snoop Dogg & Friends: 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle & More and produced by Dr. Dre.
The show celebrates 30 years since the release of Snoop's debut studio album, Doggystyle, in June 1993. Special guests will join Snoop, while the ReCollective Orchestra will provide backing with conductor Derrick Hodge.
Doggystyle was produced in its entirety by Dr. Dre and released in November 1993 via Death Row Records and Interscope. The album featured guest appearances from Nate Dogg, Warren G, The D.O.C., Tha Dogg Pound, and more. It debuted at No.1 with over 800,000 units sold in its first week and is widely regarded as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. The record's second single, "Gin and Juice," earned Snoop a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1995.
Snoop Dogg & Friends: 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle & More and produced by Dr. Dre will take place on June 27 and June 28 at the Hollywood Bowl.
