Jerseys have always held a special place in our hearts, symbolizing more than just a piece of clothing. They are woven with memories of childhood, recalling the exhilaration of running on grassy fields, chasing after a ball, and the camaraderie shared with teammates. As we grew up, soccer jerseys became more than just attire; they became emblems of our identity, signifying our allegiance to a team and a shared passion for the beautiful game.
With their latest collection, Severe Nature captures the essence of our nostalgic connection to these iconic garments and presents a fresh take on designs that seamlessly blend heritage and contemporary style.
In a conversation we had with the brand’s creative director, Chris Afolabi, he said “We all grew up playing soccer and have a huge love for the game so we decided to create a section of the brand tailored towards designing and developing jerseys for the public”
The capsule collection features three jerseys options, in different colorways that seem to be inspired by African country color schemes. Alongside the release of the capsule, Severe Nature has put together an installation at their store in Ikoyi, Lagos on Sunday, May 21st. The event will feature Jersey name and number printing, English Premier League match viewing, and a bunch of other activities.
Chris also hinted that the brand is gearing towards releasing its Summer collection but have a couple of capsule drops before then. View the soccer jersey collection below, and stay tuned for more information on Severe Nature’s capsule drops.
