Outkast's fifth studio album, "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," has officially become the highest-selling rap album in history. The album, released in 2003, has sold a total of 13 million copies in the United States and was certified 13x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This achievement surpasses Eminem's "The Eminem Show," which was certified 12x platinum in 2022.

Big Boi, one half of Outkast, celebrated the milestone on Instagram, sharing a photo of the shiny new plaque and expressing gratitude to their fans. He wrote, "Special delivery just in time for the 20th anniversary 9/23/03… #speakerboxxxthelovebelow Over 13 Million albums sold (Diamond & a 3.5). What Are Your Jams? @outkast is everlasting. Stank You Smelly Much... To All Y'all."

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," Outkast is reissuing the album along with their 1998 release "Aquemini" for special vinyl releases. The "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" reissue will include a 2xLP colored vinyl for "Speakerboxxx" and a 2xLP colored vinyl for "The Love Below." "Aquemini" will be reissued as a 3xLP set on gold galaxy, cloudy magenta, and cloudy green vinyl.

Fans can pre-order the LP reissues via Get On Down. This achievement reaffirms Outkast's enduring legacy in hip-hop and music history.
