Leicester-born R&B sensation Mahalia has taken to social media to reveal the imminent release of her second full-length studio album, entitled IRL.
Mahalia first captured the attention of soul music lovers with her velvety-smooth vocals and captivating tales of love. She enjoyed a breakout year in 2021 with her hit breakup anthem "Roadside," featuring West London's AJ Tracey. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting new material from the rising star, and tracks such as "In The Club," "Whatever Simon Says," "Letter To Your Ex," and "Terms and Conditions" have provided welcome teasers in the meantime.
In an Instagram post shared on her 25th birthday, May 1, the singer-songwriter announced: "It’s my 25th birthday today and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it announcing this. IRL, my second album, coming soon."
IRL is the highly anticipated follow-up to Mahalia's 2019 album, Love and Compromise, which featured collaborations with Burna Boy and Ella Mai, among others. The album showcased Mahalia's impressive songwriting skills and musical range, cementing her status as one of the most exciting new talents in R&B.
