As the "Fast and Furious" series nears its conclusion, Ludacris took to having grandiose thoughts of an all-star cast to complete the legendary story. The rapper-turned-actor expressed his expectations for the final film, which is anticipated to be released in theatres in 2026, during a recent interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Although details about the new film remain under wraps, Ludacris could not help but reveal some of his personal casting wishes. “I’d love to see Idris Elba in the final movie,” he said, hinting at other iconic names like Matt Damon and Denzel Washington. “Let's get Denzel in the franchise—that would be incredible,” he added enthusiastically.
The actor, known for his role as Tej Parker since 2003’s “2 Fast 2 Furious”, has become one of the longest-running stars of the franchise. Reflecting on the series, he mentioned how past stars like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham added depth to the show, even launching their own spinoff, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.
While fans eagerly await the final wrap, we think that Ludacris’ fantasy team might just be the key to giving Fast and Furious the thrilling send-off it deserves.
