Africa-born and London-raised designer Foday Dumbuya continues to shine bright on the London Fashion Week stage. Each season, he invites us on a captivating journey through West Africa, paying homage to his native Sierra Leone. LABRUM's Spring/Summer 2024 collection was a heartfelt tribute to Dumbuya's multicultural heritage, while Fall/Winter 2024 delved into the vibrant essence of the Freetown Peninsula.

Inside the esteemed Tate Britain art museum, Dumbuya's ancestral roots blossomed, with priceless artifacts guiding guests into an intimate marbled chamber. Bold pillars stood tall, framing the runway as models paraded in a mesmerizing spectrum of hues. From solemn browns to earthy greens and radiant yellows, the 45-look collection traversed the color palette with sumptuous fabrics and dynamic graphics.

The initial ensembles showcased glossy silk adorned with LABRUM-branded passports and travel motifs. Asymmetric trench coats and blazers sported metallic LABRUM pins, exuding solidarity and sophistication. Collarless designs with cross finishes added a modern twist to classic silhouettes. LABRUM's reverence for Sierra Leonean culture was evident in the incorporation of the iconic Nomoli figure, embellishing lustrous dresses with intricate detailing.

Airline tickets were ingeniously integrated into key looks, symbolizing an escape into the unknown. LABRUM letter sacks and oversized flag backpacks accentuated the theme of exploration and discovery. The collection reached its crescendo with a striking adidas collaboration, featuring co-branded bags, hats, and a sleek blacked-out sneaker.
