SZA Makes Her Acting Debut in Hilarious Trailer
"One of Them Days" follows Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) as they embark on a series of wild adventures to avoid eviction after discovering their rent money has been misused. Their antics include donating blood, attempting a daring rescue of expensive Jordans from a telephone pole, and navigating the challenges of applying for a loan with bad credit.
The R-rated buddy comedy marks SZA's acting debut and Lawrence Lamont's feature directorial debut. The script was penned by Syreeta Singleton, as part of Issa Rae's production banner, Hoorae, according to Variety. All three previously collaborated on Rae's series "Rap Sh!t," where Singleton served as showrunner and Lamont directed several episodes.
The cast also features Lil Rel Howery and Katt Williams, alongside Janelle James, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Maude Apatow, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, Patrick Cage, Dewayne Perkins, Amin Joseph, Gabrielle Dennis, and Dominique Perry.
