The Weeknd has achieved another chart-topping feat with his latest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking his fifth time reaching the top spot.

With an impressive 490,500 equivalent album units sold in its first week, Hurry Up Tomorrow boasts the biggest sales week for any album since Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department debuted at No. 1 in May 2024 with 2.61 million units. It also surpasses Travis Scott's Utopia as the largest first-week sales for an R&B/hip-hop album since its release in August 2023.

The album's success can be attributed to its various physical and digital formats, including eight vinyl variations, eight CD variants, a cassette edition, and nine deluxe box sets. The Weeknd's surprise performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards likely also contributed to the album's strong debut.

Following The Weeknd on the chart are Bad Bunny's Debí Tirar Más Fotos at No. 2, SZA's SOS at No. 3, and Kendrick Lamar's GNX at No. 4.

Other notable chart movements include Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft at No. 5 and Chappell Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess at No. 6, likely boosted by their Grammy Award performances.

Rounding out the top 10 are Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet at No. 7, Morgan Wallen's One Thing at a Time at No. 8, Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department at No. 9, and rising pop singer Gracie Abrams with The Secret of Us at No. 10.
