The "Power" prequel aims high after a critically acclaimed third season and an already-renewed fourth season.
50 Cent recently declared that the latest episode of Power Book III: Raising Kanan solidifies its position as, in his view, "the best show" currently airing on television.
Taking to Instagram, where he often shares updates and insights, 50 posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the production of Season 3 of the Starz series. Raising Kanan concluded its third season earlier this month with an episode directed by Eif Rivera.
In his IG post, 50 praised the last episode and credited writer Sascha Penn for its excellence, stating, "That last episode solidified Raising Kanan as the best show in the [Power] universe and all of TV right now." The prequel series follows a younger version of 50's Power character, Kanan, portrayed by Mekai Curtis. Reflecting on his involvement in the expansive Power universe, Curtis expressed his gratitude in a recent interview with Complex, acknowledging the significance of being part of such a cultural phenomenon.
Joey Badass, whose character Unique made a surprise return in the Season 3 finale, also shared his thoughts on his contributions to the show in a recent Complex interview.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent's ambitions in film and television have continued to expand since the debut of Power in 2014. Just this week, he expressed his determination to elevate projects in Shreveport, Louisiana, following the opening of his new G-Unit Film and Television space. However, he hasn't shied away from criticizing Starz, blaming them for Raising Kanan's absence from the list of nominees for the 2024 NAACP Image Awards.
