Portland's own artist hints at an upcoming project in partnership with New Balance.
After releasing his collaborative album KAYTRAMINÉ with Kaytranada earlier this month, Aminé is now shifting our attention back to his partnership with New Balance. Since 2022, he has been a brand ambassador for the Boston-based sportswear imprint, and has now announced that he will be receiving his own sneaker collaboration.
Given that Aminé has been featured in various New Balance campaigns and the brand has been experimenting with other musical artists like Action Bronson and Jack Harlow with various projects, it was only a matter of time before this initiative was put into place. At this time, we don't know what silhouette will be involved in this launch, but the rapper is often seen in silhouettes like the 990v3, 2002R, and 992, so it's safe to say that he'll put his spin on one of the brand's popular Made in USA offerings. Aminé has kicked off the rollout of these sneakers by posting a promo video of his billboard in his hometown, which exhibits wooden baskets of bananas next to the words "A Kid From Portland Has His Own Sneaker."
