Popular skateboard fashion brand WAFFLESNCREAM, also known as WAF Lagos, has unveiled their latest collection, Rainy/Wet ‘25. The collection, which is the brand’s first release since their rebranding in 2020, is a colourful display of its established creative excellence. The Rainy/Wet ‘25 collection is a mixture of unique and comfy outfits that suit Nigeria’s diverse weather seasons, while catering to the fashion tastes of a global audience.

The release of this latest collection also coincides with the fashion brand’s 13th anniversary celebration, a testament to its continuous elevation of streetwear fashion and expansion to global stages. Like previous collections, this year’s release aims to capture the adventurous spirit of youth worldwide while allowing them to look stylish as they engage in various activities.

Since its inception, WAF Lagos has been at the forefront of providing youths with opportunities to explore different modes of adventure, especially through its skateboard community. Through this community, the brand has created a space where passionate Nigerian skaters can freely express themselves, regardless of their gender or identity. Through exhibitions and the release of fashion collections, WAF has built a fashion brand poised to transcend multiple generations by fostering a community of thriving creatives and skaters who want to express themselves through bold and liberating fashion choices.

Also, they have organised multiple skate jams, classes, film screenings, picnics, workshops, and special activities like women’s skate nights and skate sessions for children, demonstrating that the brand is committed to reaching individuals across gender and age. This dedication makes the skate fashion brand a memorable one, focused on making skateboarding accessible to diverse groups. Last month, the waf.skatepark also celebrated its one year anniversary. WAF Lagos isn’t just a fashion brand—it’s a thriving community for creatives across different industries who appreciate accessible fashion and skating.

Besides creating a community of creatives, they have also attracted millennial and Gen Z consumers by referencing African religion with their “Orisha Tee” and incorporating familiar proverbs into their clothing. Another major moment for the brand was when the former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, wore a WAF outfit, further positioning it as a brand that appeals to different age groups and sparking conversations about how fashion brands can expand their target audience beyond Gen Z.
