Despite the highly publicized fallout between Ye and his long-standing partnership with adidas, the recent release of YEEZYs continues to soar in popularity, marking one of the final chapters of this iconic collaboration.

Ye's controversial remarks in the media led to the dissolution of various brand deals, notably the adidas YEEZY partnership. Although their collaboration has come to an end, adidas finds itself with a substantial stockpile of YEEZY products valued at over $500 million USD. As a resolution, adidas recently announced its decision to resume selling YEEZYs while pledging to donate a portion of the proceeds to international organizations supporting communities that Ye has offended.

Starting yesterday, adidas initiated the rollout of three releases to clear out the remaining YEEZY inventory. The initial drop has proven to be immensely successful, with reports indicating that 682,300 pairs of YEEZYs were released, generating a total revenue of $170.5 million USD. Despite the severed ties, Ye still retains a significant 15% royalty from YEEZY product sales. Consequently, the first release alone has garnered him an impressive sum exceeding $25.5 million USD. With just two releases left, it is anticipated that Ye will continue to reap substantial profits. This serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of YEEZY sneakers, regardless of his controversial actions.
