Kano, the renowned grime artist and actor, recently unveiled a Limited Edition Defender 110 in Paris on the eve of the Rugby World Cup 2023 France. This event marked Defender's worldwide partnership with the Rugby World Cup 2023 France and honored modern-day heroes in rugby, who are changing the sport through their determination and resilience.
Kano is not only known for his contributions to the grime music scene but also for his role in the highly anticipated final season of Top Boy on Netflix. He is seen driving a Range Rover, similar to the Limited Edition Defender 110 that he unveiled in Paris.
Kano's journey began in the early 2000s with the emergence of grime music, where he played a pivotal role alongside artists like Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, and Bashy. He was part of the N.A.S.T.Y Crew, a grime collective that had a regular slot on the pirate radio station Deja Vu FM, which helped him gain recognition as a solo artist.
Kano's determination and evolution as an artist, from grime to hip-hop and UK garage, have earned him recognition as a "Trailblazer" by Defender. The event celebrated individuals who represent the best of rugby and inspire others through their courage and determination, much like the Defender itself, known for its heroic capabilities and all-terrain adventures.
The Limited Edition Defender 110 unveiled at the event features "Champagne Gold" exterior detailing on the bonnet, script, and alloy wheels, along with embroidered headrests and blue interior stitching. Only 23 editions of this model have been introduced exclusively to the French market.
Kano's presence at the event highlighted the synergy between Defender and the world of music, as both celebrate innovation, collaboration, and emerging talent.
