A former employee of Kanye West's Donda Academy has won a default judgment against the school and its associated entities. The ruling comes after the defendants, including Ye himself, failed to appear in court or provide legal representation.

The lawsuit, filed by former assistant principal Isaiah Meadows, alleges wrongful termination and unpaid wages. Meadows claimed that he was fired after raising concerns about health and safety issues at the school, such as a classroom without a glass skylight that led to mold problems.

The lawsuit also alleges that Ye promised to cover rent for Meadows and his family but failed to fulfill the agreement. Additionally, Meadows claims his salary was reduced and he was demoted before being fired without explanation.

Donda Academy, which was founded by Ye in 2021, faced numerous controversies and eventually closed its doors in October 2022. The school's closure followed a series of anti-Semitic remarks made by Ye, leading to widespread condemnation and the departure of key staff members.
