Diddy Dresses Up as Batman After Warner Bros. Threatened to Sue Him Over Joker Costume

The rapper shared a video of himself in action as the Caped Crusader, proving he's not afraid of a little legal drama.

In 2022, Diddy wowed everyone with his Joker Halloween costume. However, this year, he made a surprising U-turn and transformed into Batman. The reason behind this shift was a legal warning from Warner Bros. regarding his previous costume.

Diddy as The Joker

The music artist and executive didn't shy away from sharing his impressive Batman outfit. He posted several videos on social media, one of which featured him standing atop the iconic Batmobile from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. Towards the end of the video, Diddy playfully issued a warning to an unspecified Hollywood bigshot, stating, "The strike is over." What exactly this "strike" refers to remains a mystery. The video ends with Diddy's Batman leaving the studio executive in front of a building, bound and gagged, with a sign reading, "The strike is over! Love, The Darkest Knight."

Diddy later confirmed the reason behind his costume change in a separate video. He revealed, "Last year, I received a bunch of emails from the studio, telling me not to dress as the Joker anymore, as it was a trademark violation." Diddy displayed the emails he had printed out. "You win," he admitted, "I won't be the Joker this year."

Fan videos also captured Diddy strolling the streets in his Batman costume, with the Batmobile following closely behind.
