Chloe Bailey is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit alleging she failed to credit a songwriter for contributions to her album, "Trouble in Paradise."

Songwriter Melvin "4rest" Moore and his legal team have filed a lawsuit against Bailey, her label Parkwood Entertainment, and Columbia Records, accusing them of "copyright infringement, fraudulent misrepresentation, violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), civil conspiracy and deceptive business practices," according to Billboard.

The lawsuit claims that Bailey and her team did not properly credit or compensate Moore for his work on "Trouble in Paradise," specifically citing the songs "Favorite," "Might As Well," and "Same Lingerie."

Furthermore, Moore alleges he did not grant permission for the commercial use of his contributions and was not given the opportunity to negotiate contractual terms with Bailey's team.

The lawsuit characterizes Bailey and her team as "modern-day swindlers" and states that Moore's team made "repeatedly made good-faith attempts to amicably resolve" the dispute.

Moore is seeking monetary damages up to $150,000, a court order to halt further commercial use of the songs, and a comprehensive investigation into the revenue generated from the alleged unauthorized use. He is also demanding repayment of all profits derived from the songs.

As of this time, representatives for Chloe Bailey have not issued a statement regarding the lawsuit.
